Experience one of Victoria’s largest cultural attractions

Explore the largest Buddhist stupa in the western world, right here in Bendigo! Groups will embark on a 1.5 hour tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide, beginning in our Visitor Centre.

  • View a short introductory film giving the history of the site
  • Tour the Peace Park, focused on interfaith harmony with installations from Catholic, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh, Bahai and Buddhist faiths
  • Go inside the Great Stupa temple where the guide will talk about Buddhist culture, architecture, art and future plans
  • Stand in awe of beautiful relics and statues, including the Jade Buddha for Universal Peace
  • Add a short introduction to meditation at no extra charge
  • A chance for questions and answers at the end

Our tours are tailored to suit all kinds of clubs and organisations and we often host;  car clubs, walking and gardens groups, probus and rotary, as well as corporate groups.

The tour involves some walking, particularly throughout the Peace Park which is located between the Visitor Centre and the Great Stupa. Please indicate when booking if the use of our mobility buggy is required (seats 5). At the time of booking, you can also include a short introduction to meditation at no extra charge.

Cost

Weekday Tours:

  • $150 for up to 10 visitors
    • ($15 per extra person)
  • Seniors/Pensioners: $120 for up to 10 visitors
    • ($12 per extra person)

Weekend Tours:

  • $180 for up to 10 visitors
    • ($18 per extra person)
