Experience one of Victoria’s largest cultural attractions
Explore the largest Buddhist stupa in the western world, right here in Bendigo! Groups will embark on a 1 hour tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide, beginning in our Visitor Centre.
• A short introductory film exploring the history and vision of the Great Stupa
• A guided walk through the Peace Park, featuring installations representing Buddhist, Catholic, Hindu, Jewish, Sikh and Baháʼí traditions
• Entry into the Great Stupa Temple, including insights into Buddhist culture, architecture, art and future development plans
• Viewing sacred relics and remarkable statues, including the Jade Buddha for Universal Peace
• An optional introduction to meditation
• Time for questions and discussion with your guide
Tours can be conducted in Hindi with at least 48 hours’ notice. Please contact our office in advance to arrange a Hindi-speaking guide.
Our tours are tailored to suit all kinds of clubs and organisations and we often host; car clubs, walking and gardens groups, probus and rotary, as well as corporate groups.
The tour involves some walking, particularly throughout the Peace Park which is located between the Visitor Centre and the Great Stupa.
Please indicate when booking if the use of our mobility buggy is required (seats 5). At the time of booking, you can also include a short introduction to meditation at $2 per person.

Tours are typically 1 hour and can be adapted to suit your group’s schedule.
Parking
Ample parking is available for cars, mini-buses and coaches.
Accessibility
The Great Stupa is accessible for wheelchairs and walkers. Some walking is involved, particularly through the Peace Park. A mobility buggy is available upon request and can accommodate up to five passengers.
