Located in Bendigo, the Great Stupa of Universal Compassion is the largest Buddhist stupa in the Western world. Students will enjoy a guided educational tour led by a friendly and knowledgeable guide, exploring culture, history, architecture, and interfaith understanding in an inspiring setting.

The tour begins in the Visitor Centre with a short introductory film about the history and significance of the Great Stupa. Students will then explore the Peace Park, where they will discover installations representing Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh, Jewish, Catholic and Baháʼí traditions, learning about the importance of interfaith harmony and respect.

Inside the magnificent Great Stupa temple, students will learn about Buddhist culture, symbolism, architecture and art, with opportunities to ask questions and engage in discussion throughout the visit.
