Shamboo for the Great Stupa
The Tibetan Shamboo is the beautiful ruffled, yellow silk banner which gracefully encircles the canopy above the prayer wheels located on the Great Stupa.
More than just a decoration, the shamboo represents the blessings flowing down over the Stupa. Creating an uplighting atmosphere for all who visit.
Due to the harsh climate, in which the Stupa sits, the shambook continues to need replacing every 3 – 6 months, as it becomes worn. With your help we will be able to maintain this auspicious item.
