Bumpa Door Surrounds
Once complete, these door frames will become a breathtaking feature of the Stupa exterior, admired by visitors for generations to come.
Inspected and approved by Lama Zopa Rinpoche before his passing, these grand, intricately designed frames will be installed on all four doors of the Bumpa, mirroring the stunning architecture of the famous Gyantse Stupa in Tibet. Once complete, these door frames will become a breathtaking feature of the Stupa exterior, admired by visitors for generations to come.
These frames were designed and manufactured in Vietnam. The artworks art currently being painted here onsite here at the Great Stupa by the volunteer arts team.
The total cost of the 4 door frames, is $76,000. This cost is made up of manufacturing, shipping, delivery, repairing, painting, and installation costs for mounting on the Stupa. Some of these costs, have been generously covered by a previous fund raiser in 2018. We are seeking help for the remaining costs associated with the frames.
The opportunity exists for 15 additional sponsors at $3,200. Each of these sponsors will be memorialised on a plaque within the Great Stupa.
